Emcees at Concorso Italiano

Concorso Italiano is proud to have some of the most knowledgeable car enthusiasts and experts as our Emcees each and every year.  These guys represent a depth of experience, passion and information that can stand to any concourse show anywhere.  They have diverse and deep history, and active in the industry directly themselves, and are recognized inside and outside this automotive enthusiast community for their expertise!

Keith Martin

Friends of Concorso Italiano will recognize him by name and by face, the iconic president of Sports Car Market, Mr. Keith Martin.  Writer, publisher, television commentator and enthusiast, Keith Martin has been involved with the collector car hobby for more than thirty years.

Mr. Martin will be seen on stage at Concorso Italiano interviewing the captains of the enthusiast world, vehicle award winners crossing the stage and mingling with fellow enthusiasts in the Strada or in the Sports Car Market pavilion where you can peruse the iconic magazine he founded twenty nine years ago as well as his newest venture – the American Car Collector – launched just 4 years ago.

Noted for his onstage wit, warmth and deep knowledge of collectible cars, Martin has been a welcome part of the family as our emcee at Concorso Italiano.  He has been honored as a recipient of two of the most prestigious awards in the collector car hobby – The Lee Iacocca Award and the Edward Herrmann Award. He has also been inducted into the Concorso Italiano Hall of Fame.

Myles Kitchen

Myles is a Silicon Valley based Automotive Electronics Expert, and is so well recognized that he is listed in the registry for Expert Witnesses in the SEAK Expert Witness Directory.  Mr. Kitchen has often been quoted by the media in matters involving Automotive Electronics and Technology.

He founded tech4cars in 1986 as a way to connect enthusiasts with resources and information on OEM and aftermarket applications of electronics within vehicles of all types.

He is a car enthusiast, a licensed racing driver, and has served as a high performance driving instructor. He is a three-time class champion in 1994, 1995, and 1996 for under 2.0 litre G.T. car in the vintage racing series, the U.S.R.R.C. Seniors Tour. Mr. Kitchen holds the distinction as being the only person to ever race a Lamborghini Countach in a sanctioned road race in North America in the 1996 Palm Springs Vintage Grand Prix. 

Mr. Kitchen is also a musician, and also has participated as an early-stage investor and advisor in several technology start-up enterprises.

Matt Stone

Three decades as an automotive journalist, author, broadcaster and photographer, and automotive consultant, has allowed Matt to meet the greatest car enthusiasts on earth. It’s been his passion to make automotive journalism, road testing, history, motorsport, racing, photography, restoring cars and concours judging his personal and professional life.

His accomplishments include authoring several books including the Illustrated Pantera Buyer’s Guide All DeTomaso Automobiles, 365 Cars You Must Drive, The Ferrari Phenomenon An Unexpected View of the World’s Most Charismatic Cars, and his most recent Isky, The Ed Iskenderian Story.

Matt’s knowledge of cars is matched only by his enthusiasm for the industry.

 

Gary Bobileff

And finally, the Chief Judge at Concorso, Gary Bobileff, knows his way around these Italian cars.

Mr. Bobileff established Bobileff Motorcar Company of San Diego in 1979. Gary is the President and is actively involved in day-to-day operations of the business.   Mr. Bobileff is a highly respected expert witness and is considered “Expert In The Field” in previous court appearances for The California Highway Patrol and The State of California.

Bobileff Motorcar Company provides complete upholstery, body and as well as paint restoration and repair on site.  In Gary’s area of expertise, his success has been quantified with 1st place Awards for complete (including mechanical) restoration from ground up at the world renowned Pebble Beach Classic Concours and dozens of other concourses around the United States. Owners of more than 600 Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s from all across the globe were serviced, restored and maintained at Bobileff Motorcar Company each year.
