Last Call for Lamborghini Club Judging at Concorso

Any car enthusiast knows the name Lamborghini, that it brings together cutting edge styling and technical design while delivering the pinnacle of performance. And similarly by its name, Concorso Italiano is the best place to see Lamborghinis.

Once again we have a number of noteworthy Lamborghini anniversaries this year: 2022 looks like it may be the last year for the performance and experience dominating Aventador that was introduced in 2011, it’s also the 10-year anniversary of the more mass market Urus (and speaking of 4x4s its the 45-year anniversary of the one-off military prototype Cheetah), and even more importantly it’s the 35-year anniversary of the purchase of Lamborghini by Chrysler, where they led the charge, and investment, to rebuild the company after more than a decade of financial struggles, and to replace the aging Countach with the much improved V12 flagship Diablo. Also in 1987, Chrysler showed the prototype Lamborghini Portofino, a double scissor door four seat car based on Jalpa running gear.

Roger Wiersema and Michael Palmieri, Co-Chief Judges for the Lamborghini Club America (LCA), coordinated by Andrew Romanowski, President of LCA, will lead the LCA judging effort with the support of an experienced and highly talented team of judges covering five classes of vintages and types. LCA judging is open to all LCA Member Lamborghinis and will be judged using the LCA judging instructions and scoring sheet available at the LCA website. Winners will receive a beautiful LCA Award trophy and Concorso audience recognition as they drive across the Concorso stage to receive their award.

If you are not already registered for Concorso, please visit the Concorso website here.  After you have registered for Concorso, please let the LCA judges know if you plan to have your car judged.  The email address is here. There is no LCA judging registration fee but there will be a limit to the number of cars in each LCA judging class, so Lamborghini owners who want their cars judged at Concorso by LCA are strongly urged to let the LCA judges know so you are put on the top of the list and avoid being shut out. Registration will be at the LCA tent at Concorso on Saturday August 20th, between 8:15am and 9:15am.
