An Abarth Anniversary

This is a call for Abarths and Fiats.  In partnership with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of Abarth.  A special display area to commemorate the Fiat & Abarth vehicles will be set up at the new location on the Bayonet Golf Course, giving special recognition to these cars.  We welcome the celebration of the Fiat America and join them in appreciating the Abarth and Fiat marques.

Founded in 1949 out of the ashes of Cisitalia, Carlo Abarth launched Abarth & C.  He began the company by taking over the Cisitalia’s assets, using five Cisitalia cars from the liquidation.  Abarth cars were very active and successful in racing in the 1950s, and he eventually expanded into tuning kits for road cars.  Abarth developed a very close relationship with Fiat, selling to Fiat in 1971.

Recent incarnations of Abarth can be found in the Fiat 500 and the Fiat 124 Spider.  You will be hard-pressed to find an owner of an Abarth who isn’t seen smiling, sitting behind the wheel.

We invite all Abarths and Fiats to join in this festive celebration.  Concorso Italiano will be honoring these vehicle owners and a terrific opportunity to mingle with the Fiat America members and their 50th anniversary celebration.

Additionally, look for more announcements from FCA on events during the week including test drive opportunities of these most recent iterations of the Abarth including during the week before, and at Concorso Italiano.
