Maurizio Corbi

Concorso Welcomes Maurizio Corbi

Maurizio Corbi, internationally renowned designer of numerous iconic car models, has been working for Pininfarina for over 30 years as a senior car designer. He will be inducted into in the Concorso Italiano Hall of Fame 2022.
His long and prestigious career will be celebrated on August 20th at Concorso Italiano.  Not only will we be honoring Sg. Corbi automotive design career, but also his artistic career.

Maurizio started out from a small medieval village in central Italy, armed with great talent and tenacity, began his long career by participating in design competitions, winning the first in 1982 with Autosprint and the second in 1986 with Gente Motori magazines. He begins to take his first steps in the world of work with Ford Europe and Ghia. He was then employed as an interior designer at Aviointeriors S.p.A., where from 1983 to 1987 he worked on projects for airplanes and trains and became a professional designer. In 1989, after collaborating with Bertone, the company in which he stayed for only one year, he arrived at Pininfarina and turned a childhood dream into reality: designing cars, or specifically, the Ferrari.

His passion for cars was the bridge between desire and success, as evidenced by his long career: today, 33 years later, Maurizio Corbi continues to work at Pininfarina, where he is Senior Car Designer.
