Ferrari Judging new items, KORi Wines Joins Concorso, Detail service available before show

Concorso Italiano is excited to announce the return of FCA-PR Vintage Ferrari Concours (VFC) judging. Ryan Pimentel, the FCA-PR Director of Concours will lead the judging effort with the support of an experienced and highly talented team of judges.

The VFC judging is open to all pre-2017 Ferraris and will be judged using the International Advisory Council for the Preservation of the Ferrari Automobile (IAC/PFA) Guidelines.

There is an important change in the registration process beginning this year. When you register you will need to enter your full VIN, in addition to the customary model and year information.  We also request that you bring your original build sheet to the event as part of the judging process.

Ferrari owners who want their cars judged in the VFC are strongly urged to register immediately.  Judging capacity is limited by class, and offered on a first come, first served basis.  Ferrari owners who have previously registered their automobile should call Concorso Italiano to sign up for judging.  The judging fee is $50.  If you are not already registered, please visit our website and register today. Be sure to click the box requesting your car to be judged.

Concorso Italiano is pleased to announce that The Wine of Concorso Italiano 2023 will be the KORi Wines, a local San Lucia Highlands vineyard.

Kori Wines is a partnership established in 2007 between respected grower Kirk Williams and his Step Daughter Kori Violini.  Starting off small, producing less than 200 cases of only Pinot Noir, they then expanded by adding small quantities of Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc before taking a brief hiatus in 2014. In April 2019 they opened a tasting room in Carmel-by-the-sea where we currently pour 7 wines- Blanc de Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rose of Pinot, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vineyard
Kori Pinot comes from our KW Ranch Vineyard located in the Santa Lucia Highlands. KW Ranch Vineyard occupies 14 terraced acres of Pinot Noir and Syrah grapes. Kirk is a well respected grower in the SLH, selling grapes to several well-known vintners. Highlands Ranch is perfectly situated in the heart of the S.L.H., surrounded by many well-known estates, including Garys’ Vineyard, Sleepy Hollow, and Rosella’s.

We welcome them to the Concorso family and encourage our attendees to enjoy the delicious wines that will be poured this year.  Kori and her team will be on hand for discussions of their wines and the opportunity to join their wine club and order wines for your personal collection.
