Fifty years ago, the mercurial Argentine, Alejandro DeTomaso, sold an idea to the Lincoln/Mercury division of the Ford Motor Company. That idea was the Pantera. Introduced in 1971, DeTomaso worked with Italian designer Ghia with the respected Tom Tjaarda as the lead designer.
Over 5,000 Panteras were built, and it became Sg. DeTomaso’s best-selling and most famous model. The remarkable car continued to sell for more than two decades, with the last model sold in 1992. Such an incredible run.
Pantera owners take their cars very seriously and it shows. Many of the cars are customized and tuned to produce an incredible level of horsepower and chassis performance, while the all original specs still appeal to the eye.
We invite you to come and join us this August 14th at Black Horse Golf Course to celebrate years of DeTomaso’s finest. To register your car tap here to join us this August to help celebrate this golden anniversary. For tickets, tap here.
